Welcome to the Social Butterfly Blog by Laura!

They say, when one door closes, another door opens … Just about a year and half ago, I started on an exciting new career path. As most of my friends and family know, I’m not shy when it comes to promoting a new business, restaurant or people I love and trust. When I go to the store, I help people find what they are looking for, as if I work there. I have a tendency to sell my favorite items to complete strangers, I should be on commission at Costco! Whether you need a mechanic, hairstylist or plumber, I know, we are always looking for someone who is fair, honest and trustworthy. Also, someone who will be there when we need them, someone with my favorite character trait, INTEGRITY. I grew up in the beautiful town of Elmwood Park. (Go Tigers, class of ‘82!!) Now you know my age! I am also going to let you know, I am 100% Italian. I remember, like it was yesterday, when my father needed something done on the house, he would always ask people he knew, and I quote: “you got a guy for this?” That is how it was done way back in the days before Google and Alexa. Word of mouth between friends and family. People are still asking that same question today. We all know, if a friend was happy with their service, we will be happy as well. It is really a matter of TRUST! (Of course, in the politically correct world, the question would now be, “Do you have a person?”) Am I right? Well, that is why I am writing this little novel. To let you know about my wonderful job! I work for Casa Heating & Cooling, located in Franklin Park, owned and operated by Michael Gonzalez. Mike hired me to help handle scheduling, promotions and sales. (I told him at my interview that I was pretty good at selling) I am 100% positive that you will see what I see if you were to make Mike your contact. Then, it will be you telling your friends and family about “your HVAC guy”! Bonus: you can schedule an appointment right here on our awesome new website or book an appointment from your cell phone with Hvac Pros Google Guarantee. You can even go “old school” and call me, maybe even from a landline phone? Yes, it’s true, way back in the day, we had actual phones attached to the wall! Side note: Last year a customer called us to get a second estimate. She was new to the area and distraught because another HVAC company told her she would need a whole new system (her quote from that company was $11,000.00). I assured her that she would be happy she called and scheduled her appointment with Mike. I also gave her my cell phone number and told her to call me if she needed recommendations on places around town: restaurants, nail salon, etc. I told Mike about how this customer had just purchased a house and I wanted to be there for her if she needed any help. It was then when he came up with the idea for me to write a local blog. Whether you are new to the area or looking for great places to eat, I’m hoping there will be something for everyone! I will write about a variety of subjects, share recipes, household cleaning tips, amazing new restaurants and fun events in our area. Mike is going to be surprised because he didn’t know I was going to write my first blog about how much I love my job and how happy I am to promote his business! By the way, that customer was very relieved to find out she just needed a couple new parts for her furnace, which were still under warranty!! (Invoice total $265.00) Coming up next: Family fun for the summer! Ciao for now, Laura
